As DJs and Producers we know a lot about the music scenes local to our DJ and Production studios. Manchester, historically, is a hot-bed of music talent. It has been a cornerstone in the development of electronic dance music in the UK and thus the world. The second summer of love in the late eighties and early nineties say the rise of the Hacienda club and famous bands like New Order, Happy Mondays and the Stone Roses. The scene was so famous in popular culture that it was even given a name, The Madchester Years. Nowadays Manchester is still a leader in EDM and creativity. As a university city and a large metropolitan area it is alive with events, festivals and club nights. Even after the COVID19 pandemic Manchester is one of the best locations in the world to party!

Hidden is a cool venue just out of the centre of town, has many floors which can cater to any night that has multiple genres and has a great soundsystem, been great to see it grow.

Genres – Funk, Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, World Music

Band on the Wall is an institutional venue in Manchester with a great sound-system and some good engineers, it’s been a key part of Manchester’s live music events, having booked many smaller scale artists to support bigger, more established international artists.

YES is a newer venue which has booked some great acts and also has a brilliant sound system, it has several rooms for nights and also a couple bar sections outside the events spaces.

Soup Kitchen is a venue with a bar area and restaurant upstairs, with an events space downstairs in the basement. Soup kitchen books some great live acts and is used for quite a variety of promoters.

One of the most popular venues in the city, The Deaf Institute, was recently threatened with closure alongside another famous venue called Gorilla; which we also recommend. Thankfully a company bought them, so now they will survive the COVID19 pandemic that killed off many venues in the City. Make sure you support their reopening!
