DJCITY AND BEATPORT HAVE JOINED TOGETHER TO LAUNCH BEATSOURCE. THE PARTNERSHIP WILL TRANSFORM THE OPEN FORMAT DJ MARKETPLACE.

What exactly is Beatsource?

Beatsource is the largest catalog of curated music for open format DJs. It will provide an extensive library of music for working DJs of all genres as well as new innovations to help DJs get their music. This is a massive step forward for open-format DJs playing a range of music not currently available on Beatport, including commercial and charting tracks. At the moment many commercial DJs resort to downloading from iTunes but their bitrate is not really good enough. This new venture will change this and make it much easier for commercial DJs to find the hits at higher bitrates!

Why is this needed?

Beatport and DJcity are the top music providers in the DJ community and through this partnership, Beatsource will transform the DJ marketplace. This is a long awaited step towards making it easy for open-format DJs to find tracks of good quality online, including commercial tracks which are almost non-existent on Beatport currently.

What does this mean for DJcity customers?

DJcity will continue to operate the same and customers will be unaffected. DJcity have promised to continue to improve the DJcity service with exciting updates and new features.

Will subscription prices increase?

No changes will be made to DJcity pricing as a result of this partnership.

Will the DJcity and Beatport sites be merged?

No. Both sites will continue to operate independently. DJcity and Beatport will build new DJ services together as Beatsource.

Do I get any discounts for using both DJcity and Beatport?

Prices for both services will be separate.
